Writing our first album..

Jason Patten wrote Army of Spades' first album under the production of Ulrich Ellison. Jason and Ulrich have saturated the Texas music scene for over a decade so only fate would have the two working on such an iconic musical production.

Jason approached Ulrich with the desire to record a "heavier than normal" album and had an "ace in the hole"... Jason had the rights to record a Metallica hit - Sad but True. Jason had a few heavier songs ready for production (Medusa, Immortality, What a waste) so within' weeks the two were working on Army of Spades debut EP
